SAPCC – 2008.

This week’s SAPCC theme was 2008. For the second week striaght, it has ended up on a holiday eve, so I thought we all needed a kind of freebe if you will. It’s a year’s span, so anything goes. Part of it was great for me and parts I pretend never happened, but all in all a good year I think. Happy New Year to everyone!!! Now here’s to writing 08 by mistake on everything for the next few weeks.

Four from the Shore.

Over the holiday, between stuffing my face and yelling at my mother to stop telling me “quicker” ways to get were we were going in the car (she means well but for some reason thinks that once you move from an area, all knowledge of said area gets misplaced), I took a drive down to Carolina Beach. It was about 70 degrees out and the beach was mostly deserted, except for random fisherman and their dogs. Here are a few of the shots from my walkabout.

SAPCC – Negative Space.

Well it’s Christmas Eve and here we are again for a new SAPCC posting. This Week’s theme was Negative space. I’ve been crazy busy, running around, traveling and wrapping presents, but I found some time to explore today and search for my shot. This is a rock quarry near my mom’s house. whew. ok back to spiked egg nog and stuffing stockings. Have a Great Holiday Everyone!!

SAPCC – Sin.

This week’s Theme for SAPCC was Sin. We all do it in one form or another, which is why I thought it would be fun to see where everyone’s mind went, when asked to focus on what you’re not supposed to do in life. It could be dirty, sad or mean. Some might not think it a sin and others might think it’s the worst thing imaginable. Here is my shot and the sin I chose. Chocolate.

SAPCC – Cleavage.

Lord knows I deserve a break today. This week’s theme was Cleavage with the stipulation that you couldn’t shoot actual cleavage. Find something that shows a rift, break or distance. Of course this takes the fun out of the word cleavage and ironically it’s a tease. ‘No Boobs’ aside I’m pretty happy with my submission this week. Plus I got to play with the D700 so woohoo! Favorite Things Post.

This week I upgraded my camera to the Nikon D700. I couldn’t love metal and glass more. I haven’t had much time to shoot with it because I’ve been learning CS4 all weekend. It seems you need higher than the version I had to read the files from this awesome machine but I’m cool with that because CS4 kicks ass. So yeah…two of my favorite things. Here is a shot of my Christmas tree to tide you over until I post more.

SAPCC – Grime.

Well it’s week 12 for SAPCC and this weeks theme was Grime. Filthy, dirty, grime. I’m happy to say my surroundings are pretty clean, so this week was tough. My shot came from the basement of a friend’s work place. They had some pretty bad water damage, among other things, and even though I was completely freaked out by the spiders and general horror movie feel to the place, I ran in shooting. This is my shot.
