This train trestle was one of the first places Nicole brought Tracy when they first visited her hometown and it couldn’t have been a cooler place to photograph their Maternity Session. Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope you’re all out getting your grill on, because this is one beautiful day we’re having!
Here’s a quick preview from a kids shoot I did with Caroline and Andy. It just so happens that it works for today’s post as well πŸ™‚

Happy Mother’s Day!

Love you Mom!

A little love from a client.

Just a few months ago I shot a family session in Princeton, NJ and my clients, Michael & Karen, just sent me a sweet thank you in the mail! Knowing my love of T-Shirts they sent me this awesome one and I love it! I’m not saying that every client should do this but it does make me love you more…and I’m a large. πŸ™‚

Thanks Michael & Karen!!!

The Brooks – Princeton Family Portraits.

Meet the Brooks Family! I met Michael when I lived in NC, on my first day in film school. There was absolutely a friendly rivalry going on between us, throughout that first semester. He is crazy talented and has a razor sharp wit and I feel lucky after all these years to say that he and his wife Karen are like family to me. Almost a year ago they had their beautiful baby girl Lily and I’m telling you right now, she is going to break some hearts when she gets older.
They were in NJ not too long ago visiting family and asked if I would shoot them while they were in town. Heck yes! We met up in Princeton, NJ and shot all along the campus. Check out some of my favorites from the day.

Tracy & Nicole – The Wedding.

Meet Tracy & Nicole. AKA Fancy & Goose πŸ™‚ I had the honor of shooting this lovely and amazing wedding in Raleigh, NC just a few short months ago. We started off shooting portraits in E.B. Bain Waterworks, which is this abandoned water treatment plant a few miles from downtown. Tracy’s company owned it so we had free reign to go where we wanted and I tell you right now, I could have shot there all day long if it weren’t for the heat. The wedding and reception were both held in downtown Raleigh at The Stockroom at 230. I loved this venue. It just fit perfectly with the couple, who had their hands in every detail of this wedding. From the Giant Balloons to the delicious Southern BBQ buffet, they made it all happen. Nicole for instance, made the cake which was a multi-tiered banana pudding with their initials monogrammed on top in Vanilla Wafers. My favorite line from the day was delivered by none other than Jarvis Slacks, a close friend who officiated the ceremony. After a very intimate ceremony he ended by saying ‘by the power vested in me…by my friends, I now pronounce you Married!’ I loved it, I love them, I love everything about this wedding.

Susan & David – The Photo Booth!

For Susan & David’s Wedding they had a Photo Booth Setup which I offer as an add on to my wedding packages. This includes a two light setup with your choice of background and a butt-kickin second photographer to coax the crazy out of you and your guests. There are tons of props to choose from, including wigs, hats, masks, glasses, boas and well more… Also there are a couple dry erase boards in cool shapes for your guests to say what’s on their mind πŸ™‚
Check out a couple of my favorites from their wedding.

Some behind the scenes of David telling Solomon how Silly he Looked πŸ™‚

I’m pretty sure the double tie looks is going to be huge this year.

These little girls lived at the photo booth for about 2 hours.

Susan & David – The Wedding.

Meet Susan & David. We started the day over at the Hotel Dupont in the business district of downtown Wilmington, Delaware. When I walked in, Susan was just about to hop into the makeup chair and she was watching the flower girls who were being pampered by the hairstylist. After some beautiful getting ready shots and we headed over to The Congregation Beth Shalom Synagogue for some First Look time (which you know I love!) and of course the ceremony. One of my favorite shots from the day was right after the ceremony when David’s son Solomon came up to the couple for a hug. Such a great moment and So, So Sweet! The reception was held at Brantwyn Estate which is a fantastic venue and really puts together a fancy party. I could have spent all day shooting the couple on these grounds.
