Tracy & Nicole are pregnant! I met up with them over the holidays in Wilmington, NC and they took me to one of their favorite spots. This train trestle was the first place Nicole brought Tracy when they first came to Wilmington. I freakin Love you both and I can’t wait to meet the little guy!
Check out my some of my favorites from the day!
Check out this beautiful image from Tracy & Nicole’s Baby Bump Session in Wilmington, NC last week! This train trestle was one of the first places Nicole brought Tracy when they first visited her hometown and it couldn’t have been a cooler place to photograph their Maternity Session. If I lived there I’d shoot there all the time! Congratulations, Love you both so much!!!
More to come 🙂
For the second half of Kelly & Charlie’s Engagement Session we met up at their house for a good ol’ fashioned FOOD FIGHT!!!! Both of them are really into cooking and I’m constantly seeing delicious food shots on their Facebook pages, so when Kelly told me this was what she was thinking of doing I was immediately on board. We got back from shooting some amazing night shots on the roof of The Soapbox and they changed into something a little more comfortable. Thankfully there was a wall separating me from them so I was safe and clean and ready to watch this craziness go down. I loved everything about this! At one point after they were completely covered Kelly said ‘I think there is sugar in my ear’ to which Charlie replied ‘That’s because I’ve been whispering into it all day’. Priceless.
Check it out!
Meet Kelly & Charlie! My Rock Star Couple from Wilmington, NC. We basically had an all day Engagement Session starting with a champagne picnic on the other side of the Cape Fear River. This was my first time meeting Charlie and he immediately won me over. Not just with the simple fact that he is a nice guy but watching how much he adores Kelly and hangs on her every move. They are perfect for each other because that same look is on his face is the same look on her’s. High Five to you both!
Here are some of my favorites from the day.
Here is a portrait of my Grandad that I shot over the Christmas holiday. He was a professional fisherman in South Carolina and while we were down, we went into Calabash for down home southern seafood lunch. Outside of the restaurant was this fishing boat, which I thought would make the perfect backdrop. My favorite part would have to be his suspenders.
Meet Tracy & Nicole. AKA Fancy & Goose 🙂 I had the honor of shooting this lovely and amazing wedding in Raleigh, NC just a few short months ago. We started off shooting portraits in E.B. Bain Waterworks, which is this abandoned water treatment plant a few miles from downtown. Tracy’s company owned it so we had free reign to go where we wanted and I tell you right now, I could have shot there all day long if it weren’t for the heat. The wedding and reception were both held in downtown Raleigh at The Stockroom at 230. I loved this venue. It just fit perfectly with the couple, who had their hands in every detail of this wedding. From the Giant Balloons to the delicious Southern BBQ buffet, they made it all happen. Nicole for instance, made the cake which was a multi-tiered banana pudding with their initials monogrammed on top in Vanilla Wafers. My favorite line from the day was delivered by none other than Jarvis Slacks, a close friend who officiated the ceremony. After a very intimate ceremony he ended by saying ‘by the power vested in me…by my friends, I now pronounce you Married!’ I loved it, I love them, I love everything about this wedding.

Here is a quick teaser from Tracy & Nicole’s Wedding a few weeks ago. We had about an hour in EB Bain Waterworks, which is this amazing abandoned water treatment plant in Raleigh, NC. I can’t wait to show you their beautiful wedding!!! More to come…
When I was home a few weeks ago, I had a lot of my old negatives scanned. (Thank you John) These are three of my favorites from the bunch. The first is a man who lives in a park in NC with his pet duck. The other two are both in NYC.
