Meet Allie & John!! I remember over a year ago when we met, she described her vision of her wedding day as a Fairytale and that stuck with me. I loved it then and I love it now. Every detail she put into her day was special to them and you could see it all over their faces. With every toast, kiss, dance & bite of cake you could see it. And every time I would show her the back of my camera, how she would fall in love, all over again with the moment we just had. They were married at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia with a beautiful reception at Northampton Valley Country Club. Check out some of my favorites from the day.
Here is a quick teaser from Allie & John’s Wedding yesterday. We slipped out into the night at the Northampton Valley Country Club during dinner and this is one of the beautiful moments we caught!
Meet Nicole & Tim! I met Nicole through one of my 2011 Brides and it felt like we had been friends for years, even though we only just met. When I drove up to her family home where she was getting ready and saw the horses in the back yard I knew this was going to be a good day. I was early and she hadn’t arrived yet, so I went to work on her details, shooting her beautiful dress hanging on her parents bedpost. When she walked in she was glowing and you could just tell she couldn’t wait to be Tim’s wife! I recently asked Nicole when was the moment she knew Tim was the one she was going to marry. They first met at her sister’s house when she came over to help plan for the NYE party the next day. Cut to the end of that night when she & Tim were the only two left awake playing cards and getting to know each other. My favorite part of their story though was their second time meeting which was at the NYE party. Nicole had made an appearance, dressed to make mouths water and catch Tim’s eye (little did she know she was already running through Tim’s brain). Later that night she called to wish her parents Happy New Year and Tim got on the phone! ‘He said he wanted to see me the day after New Year’s before I went back to school. I agreed and in a drunken state blurted I wish you were here, I miss you. hahah. They say love at first sight and Tim and I believe it!’ Cute right?!
They were married in Ashton, PA at Church of Saint Joseph, which was all kinds of beautiful. It’s this round church with a gorgeous skylight making every seat in the house a great seat to see this couple say ‘I Do’. After the ceremony we headed over to the reception spot at The Concordville inn in Concordville, pa to take some pictures and celebrate the day.

Here is a quick teaser from Rachel & Tom’s Engagement Session a few weeks ago. We shot all over Old City Philadelphia and even ended up snacking on funnel cakes on the river! More to come.

Meet Kristin & Brian, the married couple! This beautiful December Wedding was held in Havertown, PA at the Sacred Heart Church which had some amazing light, I could have shot this couple there all day! After the ceremony we ran over to King of Prussia Mall to see Santa, see that fun teaser here. After a trip with the wedding party to the Vally Forge park we headed to the reception at the Crown Plaza Valley Forge.
When I first met Kristin & Brian I asked Kristin when was the moment she fell for Brian. She told me about their first date, when they were both attending Villanova University. They decided to meet halfway between their dorms in the center of campus. This was the moment he kissed her for the first time and when he did it started to rain down on them. Sounds exactly like a scene from The notebook! I love them and want them to get married again right now!

Meet Kelly & Chris! Kelly is an amazing artist herself and you need to get over to her site asap and check out her work because it’s so good! Their beautiful wedding was held at The Holly Hedge Estates in Bucks County. I’m in love with this venue. It really set a beautiful backdrop to my lovely vintage bride with her striking green eyes and her man, who just can’t get enough of her. As a photographer, obviously an emotional moment where the couple chokes up at the alter is absolute gold. As Chris read what he had written for her, stopping every so often to hold back the tears, Kelly did everything in her power not to jump in his arms. She even went in for the kiss early, which was well deserved after what he said to her. But what sticks out in my mind even now are her vows to him…which he had a part in as well. She talked about the moment she knew he was the one she was going to marry. They were sitting on the couch talking about their relationship and Chris summed it up by saying they were like Spice & Rice. They could both stand on their own and be good, but when you mix them up together they become something great. That’s when she knew it was forever.

Meet Diana & Kenny! If you looked up laid back in the dictionary there would be a picture of these two, probably riding bikes. They are west Philly through and through. Within five minutes of meeting them I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding and of course be their friend. The ceremony and reception were both held at the Restaurant School right off of the Penn Campus. The couple also had two friends DJ the reception and it was amazing! Meet Haley & Aubrey. The wedding was held at the Pump House Bed & Breakfast in Bloomsburg, PA which is this quaint little B&B in the middle of the woods. Right next to the ceremony flowed a beautiful creek and all throughout the grounds ran multiple cats that would come right up to you for some love. All in all it was a really cool place to say I Do!
