Check out the teaser from Allison & Tom’s Wedding this past Friday at Front & Palmer in Fishtown! I stole them off the dance floor for this shot under the El Train and I’m in LOVE with it and them!

Maria & Mike – The Belle Voir Manor Wedding.

Meet Maria & Mike! We started off the day at Maria’s family home where she and her girls got their hair and makeup done. I love when brides choose to do this because it adds such an intimate element to their story! As she slipped into her beautiful dress, that she embellished herself with flowers and feathers, this adorable rush of excitement surrounded Maria…She was going to marry her man today! This was happening. Their Ceremony was was held at Saint Albert The Great Parish in Huntingdon Valley which has this beautiful glass wall behind the alter. After the Ceremony we headed over to the Reception at Bell Voir Manor which is the lovely sister venue next door to Pen Ryn Mansion. If the mashed potato bar wasn’t enough to make me fall in love with this wedding, Maria’s family surprised Mike with a Mummers Band. If you’re not from Philly then you’re most likely saying what is a Mummer?! Every year on New Year’s Day, Philly has The Mummers Parade where Philly blocks and entire families compete for best costumes, bands & floats. The entire reception went nuts and everyone was on the dance floor doing their best Mummer’s Strut.

Avi & Brian – The Mansion at Ridley Creek Wedding.

Meet Avi & Brian, again!! I love the pants off of them! This whirlwind Wedding was held at The Mansion at Ridley Creek. Inside and out this is one fantastic venue. For their first look, we met out in this lovely sculptured garden which had these beautiful clipped hedges that framed the moment perfectly. As she walked down this natural hallway to Brian, you could see the emotions building between them both. When he turned around and saw her for the first time, it was like he got the wind taken out of him. He let out this adorable sigh which was quickly followed by some well deserved smoochin. Something I loved about their ceremony was that they had four close people in their lives hold onto the Chuppah. If you’re not familiar with Jewish ceremonies, the Chuppah is the canopy that the couple is married under. Usually this is held up on it’s own but I think their choice to have friends hold it gave it such unique, personal touch. For the reception, they hired The Benderz. This was not your typical wedding band, no. It almost felt like an actual concert. Hands were up in the air, shoes came off and everyone was singing right along with every song they belted out. It was the perfect way to celebrate Avi & Brian’s Wedding. At the end of the night, after the band played a few encores to appease their fans, we ran outside for a sparkler sendoff!

Kelly & Charlie’s Engagement in Wilmington, NC – Part one.

Meet Kelly & Charlie! My Rock Star Couple from Wilmington, NC. We basically had an all day Engagement Session starting with a champagne picnic on the other side of the Cape Fear River. This was my first time meeting Charlie and he immediately won me over. Not just with the simple fact that he is a nice guy but watching how much he adores Kelly and hangs on her every move. They are perfect for each other because that same look is on his face is the same look on her’s. High Five to you both!
Here are some of my favorites from the day.

All Roads Lead to Rome – Part 1.

At least the road that I was on led me there and it was unbelievable! Rome…I love that you will forever be the first stamp in my passport (even if the customs guy stamped my passport on the 3rd page). We rented this amazing little apartment near Campo de’ Fiori, one of the many famous squares in the heart of Rome. During the day it was home to an Italian Market (Just plain Market if you’re yourself Italian) where you could buy anything from pasta to espresso pots. The neighborhood itself had everything you’d want. Tons of shopping, cafes and restaurants to choose from. I think I ate pizza at least once everyday and the wine, OH The Wine! I know I wrote this before but this would be such an amazing place to shoot a wedding or just any couple session really. Every angle looks like it’s right out of a postcard!
I shot over 1600 images so I’m going to have to break this up into a few posts 🙂 Here is a taste of Rome through my eyes.

I Was Born to Love you.

This time last week I was in Rome. That’s so weird to write but I love that it’s true. I would most likely be heading back to the apartment after another jaw dropping dinner, passing one alley after the next that looked like a scene in a postcard. I shot plenty and I’m working on that post as I type this but I wanted to share this image because it really got me excited about this coming Engagement & Wedding Season! I found this on one of those walks after dinner and it, like all the amazing backdrops in Rome, made me want to shoot a wedding there! Any Takers!?!

Aiden James.

Meet Aiden James. He’s kind of blowing up right now. His new album, Trouble with this, hit iTunes this past Monday and you can get that here. I shot the images for his album a few months ago on the roof top of an apartment building on the edge of the city. Here we had such an amazing view of the Philadelphia skyline which was the perfect backdrop for the shoot. Check out his cover and some of my favorites from the night.
